Love mine! They are a bit loud, but you can certainly tame them down with the right grip! Easy install, and they look and sound awesome.

Love mine. They are a bit loud but I love the sound. If it's possible, try to hear them both before making your final decision.

people say v&h are loud. there not as loud as my seII's but i have big city thunder baffles which make them louder that getting them from the dealer. I think they sound better than the short shots but those would be the only other pipes i would consider for my bike... I am going to stick with my seII's

So what about performance between the 2? I have thought about getting the short shots also, but I have read that loosing the crossover pipe makes you loose a lot of mid range torque, is that true?

If you want to stand out and have something different don't by V&H SS cause everyone seems to have them.

I've got SE II slip ons and they sound pretty good, although I would like them just a little louder. Those Big City Thunder baffles sound like they may be just what I'm looking for.

I havea 061200c w V&H Short Shots w/ baffles in and they are loud as hell. They blow off every car alarm. I have a SE air cleaner and re-jetted the carb and the performence is 15% faster and more proficient. The shorter the pipes the louder they come. Enjoy!!
