anyone know the torque settings for these screws...
sorry to steal Screw Loose Dan's picture, but can anyone tell me the torque settings for the 3 x screws which hold the screamin eagle air cleaner backplate to the bike? i've recently found one of them rattling around in the bottom of my filter element!!! luckily, it hasn't cause any damage to anything other than the filter itself, but i'm gonna loctite the screws in place and i want to ensure i also tighten them to the correct torque settings. thanks in advance

i've found this installation guide for the stage 1 kit on an EFI bike, but i can't find the guide for the carb version. i assume the torque setting will be the same??? does anyone know a link to the carb version?

I don't know the torque setting but with the blue Loctite it is not all that critical (I would go with the settings above), Loctite does a real good job at keeping parts together and just something over snug is probably good....But, the real reason for this post is...that when looking at you picture of the intake area it looks like you could really use a carb area cleaning..I use CRC power lube and just spray that stuff all over the inside of the carb to remove all the deposits, I like it better than carb. cleaner because it won't hurt any plastic/ rubber parts and helps to lube up the shafts etc, and it will take those oil deposits off with no issues.. I just wrap [a lot of] rags around the area to catch the run off and spray the crap out of it using the throttle and your fingers to open up the carb. so you can get to the inside areas...then take the bike outside and start it up, it will smoke like crazy for a minute and then you will be good...

Jeez, those are bolts you don't want coming out. If one gets sucked into the intake system you could end up with serious damage.
As Mrfikser said above, the blue locktite will keep them in. From looking at my manual it looks like 40-60 inch pounds if you want to put a torque wrench on them, I just make sure they are tight.

Just use some Blue Loctite and firm them up hand tight. Those screws go into the carb body (cast pot metal), not strong threads there.
Leave the torque wrench in your tool box unless it's something much larger. Torque wrench ***** cause more problems than they solve.
