Default 1982 XL idles perfects then misses bad when running

1982 XL idles like a dream. As soon as I take off after a half block it misses real bad. Have rejetted carb, new points condenser, plugs and wires, redid advance, timing, etc. Really sounds like a wire loose making it cut out but have no idea what. Thanks

Does it do the same when you rev the engine, or does it only do it under load?

are you sure you adjusted the points right..I can't remember which but either to narrow or to wide on the points will cause your issue...also check the coil for carbon tracking and cracks...

Bendix stock carb. Only misses when under load accelerating-let off throttle some then it runs smooth. Can sit in neutral and hammer throttle and it runs great. Thanks

Sounds to me like a fuel starvation problem.
Do you have a inline fuel filter?
If you do, is it plugged?
Your petcock could also be the culprit. I have seen them plugged up with sediment from the tank. A float level that is too low will also run out of fuel under load.
Hope this helps
