Default Sportster mirrors

How many of yall have changed your mirrors? On my bike I mainly see myself in them and for what I see behind me...........they might as well not even be on the bike. If you have changed what did kind of mirrors did ya go with?

i bought some at a show $40 Cateye style without the closer than appear glass, much better

mine broke off and ive just left them off, i never saw anything in them anyways. Bike looks better also. Ive pulled up to many cops, and right next to a cop on a bike as well, no one has pulled me over. **** em.

Yes Sir !!!! I did and drastically. 10 inch stems. Soothed my nerves nicely .... had the need to see what the heck was going on behind me.

Take your stock mirrors, loosen them at the base and push them further forward (towards the front of the bike). Re-tighten them and adjust the mirrors so your shoulders are just showing in the mirrors. You should be able to see enough behind you to see what is or isn't coming and that adjustment will also give you a wider view to the sides in case you don't do a good enough head check when changing lanes.

Put longer ones on mine. I bent them down so that they weren't so high up. I can now see behind me, and twicethey saved me from rear end collisions while travelling near Orlando. Tourists and gey hairs are never looking at the road. down there...Mark...

Thanx guys for the replies.......Im **** about checking mirrors....I like to know what is going on behind me also lol. Did yall get your mirrors from your dealer or another vendor? If another vendor....what are their websites.......I tried a search but seems like what I came up with wasnt very good

I replaced mine with the long stemversion ofthe OEM's. They do vibrate just a hair more, but not bad at all.

I tried some other mirror options and came back to the stock originals. Visibility was much lower with the long stem mirrors due to vibration. The late model stock Sportster mirrors look smoothandwork for me.
