Default any advice?

I'm going with the SC Stage I and Cycleshak slip-ons. The parts guy at my dealer actually talked me out of the SC slip-ons. He said they are'nt as good as they use to be and the Cycleshack(I think that's what it's called)make more power and are cheaper as well. Did I do the right thing? I'm going for more power and hopefully a little smoother low speed running. What d'yall think?

I have the Cycle Shack mufflers and S/E Air cleaner on my 883. I'm very pleased with the results.

what are sc slip ons? I had cycle shacks and yes they make good power but are very loud . I use to set off car alarms in parking lots when I started it up. now Im running python 3's and they are a bit quiter but still make good power. the reason I have different exhaust is I had a crash last year and skinned up the cycle shacks and there wear none avalible when my bike got rebuilt.

I'm doing the SE Air with slips ons also but haven't installed them yet. I've heard a lot of good things about the SC's as well as the SE II's.

Here's a youtube video showing the CS Slip ons with an 07 883 Low: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gad51fDQoyI

I've got the SE Street Performance pipes on order but I live in a fairly residential area.

Here's avideo on Youtube showing the Street Performance version on a Sporty: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl-6EcDhORs

If they seem to quiet once I get them installed I may Ebay them and get some SE II's or CS's also. One of the members here pointed out a dealer that may still the SEII's in stock.

Let us know how your upgrade goes..I'll do the same.

I almost put them on my bike last year, I have a friend that did and once I saw them on his bike I am glad I didn't. Though the performance on them is good IMO they look cheap and they are smaller than the SE, or Python slip mufflers. My friend after he put them on his bikedid not like the smaller look of them either, and the chrome does not seem to all that good. He has since replaced them with VH side shots. You can buy them cheap though they sell from 125-175$, as other muffllers sell from 225-300$, so if budget is a concern I guess they are better thanrunning stock and at least they give you a real Harley sound.

You might want to look into getting Rush pipes. They sound good, performance os good and the loudness is just right.
