Default Turn signal switch

Just installed a chrome switch cap kit on my 07-1200 Custom. When it came to the right turn signal though I really f'ed it up! I broke off the plastic lip on the right side of the switch that secures the switch itself to the housing.

This means that though the cap and spring are in working order, the switch itself is now loose within the housing. All the other caps went on without too much hassle but this kind of worries me.

How can I fix this mess? Can a new switch be installed without cutting and splicing into the harness ? I would appreciate any help you could offer.
