Default Rush Slip-Ons and Tuning

You need tuning after installing Rush slip-ons. I had no backfire or Pop before now I have, a little though, when rolling off the throttle. SO, the gas-air mixture needs tuning.

This is my experience, may or may not be the case for others. But I saw the majority of folks here say you dont need tuning with these. Well maybe you dont "need" but you should.

Just putting it out there for others with same experience.

I actually installed XiEDs along with the slip-ons so I didn't have any backfiring or popping. However, I would think that with reduced back-pressure you will have some amount of backfiring. I ran with Rush slip-ons and XiEDs for a couple of thousand miles before installing SE a/c kit and seldom had any popping. These babies (XiEDs) work!

And I do wear ear-plugs

I had XIEDs before I installed the slip ons and they are still on. My backfiring is not much but it's there.

Power Vision. XIED's are Radio Shack resistors installed as a fixed bias into the ECM... hardly a real solution.

What size baffles do you have in the slip ons? I had 2.25 and I went to 1.75 because it ran hot.

1.75.

Kreig

PV looks good but too expensive. Not sure a simple AC/Exhaust upgrade justifies spending that much money.

I am thinking Fuelmoto micorEFI.
