for the SE full jazzed kit at Triple S is$1800 at another local to do the basic conv. is $800,now I'm not a bike mech. but have asked prices to get an idea,I am learning so hopefully 1 day I'll be able to to whatever I want to my bike but I want my new 1 under warranty still so 1 of the dealers will do the work I haven't asked what the other dealers full kit is yet(the 1 with the $800 tag)

Do you own a torque wrench, and service manual? You will need both to check for torque specs . Very easy job, 1 day in a heated garage and then you are all set to break it in .Make sure to keep the crank covered so as not to drop anything in. The hard part is all that new torque and hp and putting on the miles to break it in. On sportser.org Maurice Riggins has a very complete set of instructions on how to do this, if you don't have a service manual. Have fun ..Mark..

By the way have you already paid the taxes on your bike? If not I would get that done at the same time.

I just finished the 1250 conversion on mine - only 100 miles on the bike since I put it back together. Stock heads and cam for now - just like piginablanket. I'm lovin' it and can't wait to get through the break-in. It's not all that hard to do - take your time and read the service manual and Maurice's instruction. Also - lots of help here if you need it.

Dammit now I'm getting horny... [8D]

The hard part is gonna be breaking it in, gonna be hard to resist twisting that throttle and letting it fly.[&:]

I dropped off my bike this morning to get the 1250 conversion put on. They quoted me $680 to port and flow test the heads soI declined. Expecting it back sometime next week. I'll let you know how it runs harleyj4585.
