The day I bought my bike, then moved it upstairs until I could get her home. I looked like a dope and it was worth it.

First thing was to get a place for a work shirt or a bottle of water so the h-d saddle bag fit the bill.

Then after some rides I detailed her and found the best way to UN-brown my tires with a small amount of lacquer thinner on the unridden portions. No, this won't dry out the rubber, I used this for years on jeep hardtops to prevent leaks.

Got my exhaust all installed and running. Love this thing. The day before I bit the bullet and ordered an exhaust I had been lane changed into about three times in traffic. Talk about scary getting nearly crushed by a lifted suburban in an underpass.

This exhaust is bassy, deep and aggressive. Exactly what I wanted in every aspect. Haven't had a single issue since with unaware cagers. Gotta shout out to Revzilla for having it, answering all of my questions and getting it to me efficiently. Now I've got the Sespt, which is a nifty gig for the money, but the smart tune feature made me decide not to do anything with it until I have my intake on so I only have to do it once for stage one.

Today, I ordered my DK customs intake, and despite working in a shop where call quality suffers from air tool usage, the ladies were great to deal with. got the 636v setup in its simplest form, should be here thursday.

UNFORTUNATELY, about two months ago I got into a situation where the only option was lock'em up and eventually I performed an pretty awesome left-side low-side slide for about ten feet or more. (sarcasm with "awesome")

I made it out with some pretty gnarly road rash and a greater respect for awareness of surroundings. But nothing serious. Hope to get her back by the end of next week so I can enjoy the rest of the season before I gotta buy a heavy jacket.

Default Finally

Got my bike back from the dealer yesterday after my wreck. They did great work, and despite some parts delays, got her done in respectable time, I'd say.

Only deal was that the handle bars are adjusted slightly different than when I first had it, but after getting used to it and adjusting the mirrors a few different ways, its more comfortable and makes me feel more in control through corners. Might try and roll them a bit further forward to see if I can get more out of them.

Also had them pull on the dyno for me since I wrecked two days before my appointment. Pretty cool with the numbers I got, considering its just the akra exhaust and no other changes. I'm just using this as a baseline since I didn't think to get her ran stock.

74.42 lbs/ft tq at 4000 rpm
70.50 whp at 6000 rpm
definitely could get more with more consistent and proper fueling next time, but she'll get tuned enough.

I've locked up my rear brake plenty of times. Also, had to shoot onto the shoulder a few times in traffic. The stock tires don't have the greatest grip but I'm too cheap to buy new ones.

Yeah. I'm not a huge fan of them, but as long as I start spacing myself in traffic rather than riding like a ***** around idiots they're fine until I can get replacement. I'm still new and leery of my ability. So I don't want to inspire too much confidence in my riding choices.
