Default Street Tracker Mods

I'm posting here to document my Storz/Phil Little Street Tracker build if anyone is interested. I've been looking to build a Street Tracker for years, and I finally decided to pull the trigger this year.

I started a search for a pre-2004 Sportster that I could use as a donor bike, when I came across a bike that was about 70% the way I wanted it, with most of the hard work done. It is a '99 XL1200S with 1990 miles on the clock. It was rolled off the showroom in October of 1999 and the Storz mod was completed to it's current build over the next three months. It has been sitting for most of the 13+ years since. Jackpot!

[As it sat on the day I bought it]

The previous modifications:
Drag Specialties Crankcase Breather with K&N air cleaner
SuperTrapp 2-2 high pipe
Progressive 14.25" 412 rear shocks
Storz Performance tank and tail section
Daytona steering damper
Flanders low cafe Bars
Under bar mirrors

My plan is to put this as close to an XR 750 as I can for the street. I'll post pics as I go.

BTW, I have every part that came off the bike in 1999 that was wrapped in bubble wrap and stored that I am going to put up on the for sale area soon.

High Tech Breather catch can 2.0 placed where the emissions canister used to be...

.
Not the final product as I am already working on 3.0, but I found a use for Coors Light. I have six cans left, so my experimentation continues..

Update: Spoke 19" wheels with GoldenTyre GT 267 (27" x 7" x 19" medium - CC5) Front & GT 268 (27.5" x 7.5" x 19" hard - CC6) rear dirt flat track tires (yes, for the street) and a chain conversion. Need to make some adjustments to line up the brakes and chain...

Your street tracker is coming along nicely. I am planning on building a street tracker with an older model Sportster than you have.

What steel wheels did you end up using? Are they HD's or other brand? I have thought about using 40 spoke shoulded alloys like Borranis or similar.
