Ideas for rear Fender Reflector?

I pondered the same thought before pulling mine. The reflectors are not going to save you. Good riding skills and attentiveness to you surroundings will. If you get hit reflectors or not the only difference is the ugly sight of them on a mangled bike.

Just keep in mind that there are some states that require you to have a reflector facing the rear (California for one) I have one on my license plate frame but my son does not. He was pulled over several times by the CHP for them missing since we both converted over to LED tail/stop lights that did not incorporate built in reflectors. Since then he has has to install some reflector "peel and stick" strips on his sissy bar and has not been stopped once. So, I don't know about the law in your "South" state but if you remove yours you might want to replace it with some other type of rear facing red reflector.
We don't have a low about side reflectors here but I am a firm believer in being seen as much as possible so I have left my side ones on as well (unlike a lot of others here).
