Default shock swap

i just bought 2012 xl1200c and am bottoming out 2up im 180 and rider is same i need to keep height same or lower any suggestions I keep hearing progressive 412's should be easiest and most economical solution

You might want to look at air shocks from a SG or RG. My nightster had the 11" shocks and when two up it would bottom out and the ride sucked. I installed the SG 11.5" shocks and they are great, I can adjust them for just me or when the OL rides.

You can't go wrong with the touring shocks. I got the 13" ones since they were cheaper and more readily available. I then added a lowering kit to make it look a little better when at rest.

If you're doing a lot of 2up, I wouldn't even bother with the lowering kit. But overall, the shocks are amazeballs.

+1 on getting the Touring bike air shocks. Adjust the air pressure easily between solo and 2 up riding.
