I see that the Heavy Breather instructions say to remove the bracket. I don't have the Heavy Breather. Just the SE air filter kit.

Some say yes remove it, some say no.

John, the kit comes with the three screws that mount on the induction casing, so I should be good with those I assume?

I have the same SE A/C kit and I removed the backplate. 2500 miles later I don't see any issues yet.
