Default Cafe sportster done-sort of

Is anything ever done? Just got mine back together and did a little shake down today. Thought I would take some pictures. Going to go with a gold emblem on the tank and maybe gold stripes down the middle of the tank and tail section. Add a oil level line on the oil tank like the English bike had and call it done.

No rearsets or clubman bars? Are those rims gold powdercoated? Looks good.

Looks sharp, liking the gold rims. Gonna do a tracker setup on my next build here shortly.

No clubman. Bad back. Rear sets are coming. No powder coat on rims. Painted them myself. Did the polishing and everything else except the black paint.

Great work, I love café bikes. Those rims really do look good, with some gold on the tins, you will have a very sharp looking bike. I remember your post when you got your bike, it's a 1991 like mine as I recall. Nice to see how well she turned out.

It would look good with rear sets and club man bars. I may do the bars after I get the rear sets on. I am going to try another tank I have and see how it would look. It is not a harley tank. I did have a brain fade as I dumped two quarts of oil in it and it had wet sumped and almost over flowed the tank when I started it. Thank goodness it has a hose to drain the oil. Made for quick work on that. I also need some more disc for the supertrapp as it is still too quiet. I don't want it loud, but it still seems plugged up.

Got to post more... and bigger pics. I have just started stripping down a bike for a cafe racer. It starts now, and hope to be done by this time next year. Enjoy it!

What year is the bike?? Also, is that a fabricated or aftermarket tail section?? It goes well with peanut tank...
