Default 2014 48 - my battery getting drained over night

The battery gets drained overnight. If i don't have a tenderizer on it, it won't have enough charge to get the bike started.

The only work I had done before noticing this problem was having the dealer install the factory alarm and then I installed a grill on the front headlight (did have to disassembled the headlight to get this done).

One thing i noticed... I used a voltage reader to test several different areas and everything seems fine but i'm not sure if what I found in the headlight wire plugs is normal. Even with the bike turned off (and keys removed), it reads "1.something". There's some sort of current being drained from that plug. is that normal? I tested other areas and they all read 0.0 with keys off. What could cause this?

I am scheduled to take it into the dealer but was hoping I could fix it myself.

My bike is the same way. Check for a draw again somewhere. My bike wont last 2 days with out a battery tender on it. My bike has a **** load of electrical work done to it so I assume that is one of my issues.

Keep your meat tenderizer on it whenever you can LOL.

For what its worth, I noticed the same thing this last week but I think my battery is going south. But while I was troubleshooting I checked the current draw with the key off and I get 60ma. I dont have the alarm so I assume it would be higher on a bike with the alarm. To test, make sure ignition Key is off, put your meter in Amp mode, Pull the large main fuse and connect the leads across the connector where the fuse plugged into. I think this should check everything except the starter.

If i remember correctly...the alarm tends to use up a lot of battery just sitting there...so in the instructions recommends a battery tender to mitigate that...

Ive got the alarm with remote but have yet to install it...

there's something wrong, either your battery is bad or the alarm install has wires crossed, or your stator is going bad, which is a strong possibility. check the battery charge, there should be close to 14 volts with the motor running., if it's anything under 12 your stator is not working at all. Don't buy another Harley one, search the board for better aftermarket ones, but I guess your under warranty so dealer should cover it..

Brand new bike? I'd get it back to the dealer.

I'm hoping to win the lottery.

Let the dealer deal with it from now on.

It's a 2014. Just go drop it off at the dealer. It's a battery issue shouldn't be that big of a deal.

My bad, "tender". LOL
I'm going to take it to the dealer but I have done so much cosmetics work to the bike since then that I have this feeling they will try to blame the work I did. Thanks ppl and I will update this thread as soon as they find the culprit.
