Rear fender protection
I bought myself a 2-up seat for my 72 so the wife can ride. But most of the time the bike will be rode with the stock solo seat. What can I put on fender, inbetween 2-up seat and fender to protect the paint? I considered just sandwiching a pair of microfiber towels inbetween the two, but that's not exactly the most permanent idea. What is everyone else doing?

Some seats have a speaker box type carpet on the bottom side.

Yeah, sadly no carpet on the bottom of my seat. I got the Biltwell HB tuck and roll.

I ran that seat with no rubbing at all. it's vinyl is wrapped & all that touches is the vinyl. I did make a rubber washer for the back at the bolt.
