Noob question
I own a 2014 sportster and as other 2014 owners will know it's expensive and difficult to find after market parts for bike.
Looking to buy passenger seat that attaches to solo seat if it's meant for a 2013 or 12 will it fit my 14?

 

Have asked Harley directly or even look at their catalog? Many options available, check out eBay, google, Amazon, etc.. IMO there is no difference on the year models, they are all basically the same, just w a few modifications for looks, etc. So I don't see you having an issue, if you do, return the item but thats what Harley stealerships are there for to inquire w them directly

 

I think the biggest change was to the bottom of the bike because of the ABS addition. Some reservoir had to be placed there if i remember rightly. Seat wise I don't think theres much of a difference but I will say this. you will need a seat from 06 onwards. 04-06 had a diff fitment for the passenger seat (i found out the hard way by someone on ebay saying 'It'll fit' and not knowing better) I replaced my seat to the 48 one and got the 48 passenger seat so have stock seat and pass seat spare. shame youre in the states
