RE: XL1200S
Hi reaperman, I also have a 1200S. They are a remarkable machine. I did a similar thread awhile ago and i think there was only one other person at that time who had one. Mine is an 02 in Impact Blue I had it listed for sale in the fall and will probably list it again as I primarily ride the Road King now. It's tough to get rid of the Sport because it is a very special motorcycle. What year is yours?
drumer66 The Sportster Sport or 1200S is arguably the best Sportster ever.

RE: XL1200S
yes i'm running on Avon Venoms now, i'm afraid i cant remember what size at the moment and i'm working away from home at the moment so i cant check yet but i'll have a look when i get home and post them on here.
they have made a huge difference to the handling, all for the better, no more slipping and sliding in the bad weather, and a lot more feed back when cornering.
the weather may be a contributing factor with the original Dunlops, what with the lower temperatures and lots of rain in Britain, "just a thought."
my friend is also running on new tyres after a few slides, she's running on Pirelli's now and seems happier with them.

right well those tyre sizes i said i would post are as follows. front is a 100/90-19 "57H" and the back one is interesting because it says its an MT90B16 "74H" and it states that it replaces a 130/90-16 i hope this of help you, because its certainly sorted my handling.

Yeah, can't complain about the weather here. I notice your running Avon tires what size and type? Are you happy with them. The Sports originally came with a high performance Dunlop but I now have Metzlers.

I've got a 99 Black Sport. Love it to death. It's not only just my first Harley, but my first bike in general. When I got it is was basically stock. I have since changed out the pegs, put a Ramflo intake, just installed an RB-Racing 2-1 exhaust...which not only helped boost performancee, but sounds a TON better than the stock Screaming Eagle I exhaust I had on there.
Next up is a solo seat...which I'm currently in a bidding war on at ebay.
