RE: XL1200S
My girlfriend has an '03 1200S that I plan on buying from her. She'll have had it two years in March and has not put a single mile on it. Said she bought it as an investment, I told her these things are made to be ridden and thatI would buy it from her so I could stop putting so many miles on my '03 1200C.

01 Sportster Sport here. I love it. Bought it new. Ported and polished thunderstorm heads matched to wiseco high compression forged pistons.Intake ported to match the heads. Andrews N-8 cams. Mikuni carb, Thunderheader exhaust, Screamin Eagle ignition, 27 "tooth' front pulley from a 883. Yup,goes like hell.

RE: XL1200S tires
I boughta stet a few years ago from a guy who worked out of his garage. The H-D tires were way cheaper than Dunlops. He had a book that he could order just about any tire from. Also, he told me never to clean them with anything other than soap and water. Things like tire shine eat at your tires and rot them out .

RE: XL1200S tires
The XL1200S is kind of like Sasquatch and the Loch Ness Monster.... You hear a lot about them from other people... But you never actually see them yourself... In theory... They are a Sportster with a six speed tranny that goes 199mph (200+ with stage 1 complete).... Ah yes.... The XL1200S... I love Urban Legends [8D]
