Default Big Radius 2-into-2 Pipes... thoughts?

So, I want to get new pipes and am really intrigued by these Vance & Hines BIG Radius 2-into-2 pipes... anyone have experience with them? From all the reviews that I read on JPCycles, I feel like the majority of the people that purchased them really really like them, looks and sound. Overall I am thinking they will help my bike look/sound a bit meaner, and perform much better... should I also update the air intake at the same time too, because that was another thought to increase my power/sound/overall performance.

Thanks!

I had Pythons on my Bob, bought the V&H and really like them, you won't be sorry. Some people change the baffles in them because they feel there is a "tinny" sound, but I don't think it is very noticeable.

Do you think the Short Shots would be any louder/lower in tonality?

Im happy with them. I ride them without baffles, they are extremely loud.

That's the exact system I'm wanting for my bike. My buddy has them on his Lowrider and loves them.

Got them on mine. They look awesome and sound even better. I went ahead and did the air intake. I got an Arlen mess big sucker, and then "tuned" it with some VIED from DK customs. It really makes it sound like a bike and it really hauls some *** too.

The only downside is the big radius are the most expensive. I was able to find a good deal on ebay for them, but either way they are worth every penny.

I had them on my iron and liked the sound of them a lot. However if you take right corners sharply the bottom pipe will drag on the corners. Also as reported by at least one other member and myself, the top heat shield sometimes has bad welds for the pipe clamps to go through. Mine feel off when I was on the highway. Had to stop and turn around to get it and bring it to the dealership, vance and Hines replaced it either which way. Just to be aware.

Thanks all for the advice, tips, and personal stories. I am definitely wanting them even more, despite a couple "down sides". Thanks again!

I don't have personal experience with the Big Radius, but I think they're one of the best looking pipes on Sportys. A friend has them on his Custom and I have the SE II on mine.
