When I bought my bagger, I sure as hell didn't buy into anybody's "sales model". I tour, and as such the Ultra was my decision. I'm not worried about picking it up because I DON'T DROP IT.
Get a clue.

That's too bad, I feel for you. All that extra dead weight & low hp/lb ratio isn't fun for sure. You could trade up to a Sportster at your local dealer to correct this issue.
