Oh, the the cup holder, CB radio, full intercom, DVD player, and the microwave (you never know, you might get hungry and you are so focused in getting the odometer spinning to report miles count at the forums, that you don't want to stop to relax and get a bite).
Did you used to ride a Goldwing?

Keep trying cupcake.....

I like the looks of that Kaw 500. Bet it can eliminate the Spurtster in a 1/4 mile run.

Sporties have a better carbon footprint than a big twin. Just look at the waste this big twin uses just to pull around their OL. Gotta have the torque to get up to speed.

2 different bikes for 2 different purposes.
of course in the hd world the sportster is entry level based on weight and price. But now that the street is coming out their is a better entry level bike. In the overall bike world the sportster is far from entry level.

Wow..I don't understand why you guys carry on like this. Ride what ya want and certainly don't think you're better because of what you ride.

I ride a sporty because that's what I grew up on the back of..have always loved them.

I know that there are those who think that the Sportster is "a girls bike". I so far have not had anybody give me crap about my bike. I was not looking for a fast bike. I do not ride 2-up. I am older with health issues. I am not a big guy. I am on a fixed income. All of these figured into what I bought. Plus the fact that, in the past, I rode 700 or 750 cc bikes making this 1200 Sportie the biggest bike I have ever had. At 600 pounds, it is a BIG bike to me. In fact, there was a time when 74 cubes was considered a big twin.

I have gotten it set up for the way I ride and it does me just dandy. I am sure i will continue to modify it. This is part of the charm of owning a Harley. To make it a personal statement.

I don't really care what any of you BIG TWIN owners think of my bike. It is mine! And I like it a lot! It is a Harley!

I forgot to mention that, due to not having to lay out such a large wad of cash for the bike, I am able to indulge in another American legend......Martin Guitars.
