Rode bike to work for 1st time hilarity ensues
I work in a small shop of about 8 people and finally rode to work and they were checking out my bike and giving me a hard time about it being a sportster (jokingly of course). Anyways one of the guys nobody really likes (except the boss) was walking over to it and was like "don't tell me you got a sportster" and hes looking at it and saying how he would never buy a sportster. This guy is like 50 years old and is about 5'4" 130 lbs so its really hard to listen to him talk like hes a badass without laughing. Anyways so I ask him what kind of bike he would buy, "a nightster" is his reply. I inform him that he is retarded and a nightster is a sportster, and he asks me like i'm an idiot if I even knew what kind of engine a nightster has, when I tell him its a 1200 sportster he then starts talking about some crotch rocket he wants to get blah blah. Anyways only me and another guy know anything about bikes at work so nobody else was able to appreciate this as much as me, so I just wanted to share this and was wondering if anybody else knows people like this or has had stuff like this happen.

I've always noticed that its the ones without bikes that talk ****. I'm in the military so there are a ton of riders where I work. Anyone with a bike will tell me that they're just glad I'm riding (it can be pretty difficult to get authorization to ride in the military). I like to ask the ones who never owned a bike or don't currently have one where their bike is. They'll usually shut up after that. Or I'll tell them to hop on and go for a spin and let everyone laugh when they don't know how to get out of first gear or even put it in gear.
