Curved Handlebar Riser Kit-56266-09

Part Number*56266-09

Anybody ever tried these? States they work with the XL883L. I read in other threads issues with the clamps and hope this works.

I don't know about this specific riser kit, but risers do work. I have a 4 1/2" curved riser on mine.

My cables still fit, I don't know if they'd fit on a 6" riser.

Also, you have to decide how to mount your speedo. I used the cable clamp method - you can find it over at the XL Forum. If you want to go that route, make sure the risers are round, not oval.

on my wifes xl883l a 2010, we took the stock bars off and put some mini apes on it.... we had to get a longer brake line and re thread the throttle cables but it works fine, it let us pull the bars back about 2 inches and that did good for her

Hmmmm I am definately gonna have to research both. Mini apes sound great just like my original bars.

You might really like the HD mini-apes....one of the best values HD has. They're less than $70.

Then you can adjust height/how close they are to you by using Riser Extension that you can see HERE.

Here's my Sporty with the HD mini-apes and the 2.5" riser extensions-
