Default Charge my Cell phone off my Sporty

I carry a cell phone just in case, sometimes the battery is not fully charged,so I adapted a female plug I had laying around, to plug into the H/D harness I use for my battery tender, now if I am out and my cell phone battery takes a sh*t I can plug my cell charger into the Sporty battery and make a call if I need it. I carry the plug in my tool bag.

thomasf59,

GREAT idea! Is there a place where you can get a plug that fits the Battery Tender socket, or did you cut it off your Battery Tender and use a 12V DC male end on your Battery Tender that you plug into your homemade "pigtail" for charging?

The battery tender usually comes with a couple of connector cables like the one shown. You have to splice on the cigarette lighter plug shown (from radio shack).

The 2 prong plug I used I found at 3 different automotive parts houses, and a farm supply, I paided about $1.50 for the harness, its only 12 inches long.

Look in the trailer hitch and accessories isle.
