Ive seen this numerous times, not just on Harleys but all makes of bikes. It ends up being a defective biomass (just behind the bars and above the seat). Many on this forum and others have tried to help repair the defect to no avail (Ive never seen it work anyway). Usually what happens is the rider just lives with the defect (to his own peril) or after a certain period of time we just never hear from him again.
