Sample your fuel tank - probably water contamination. If you got any damage from the gas and it needs repair, I know of several people who have had this happen in there cars and the gas suppliers paid for repairs with very little hassle.. This kind of thing happens all the time.

 

Well i drove the bike and the first 15 miles the bike AGAIN decides to keep stalling down the highway crusing speeds 40-50-60-70 etc. I was so pissed i turned around and it kept stalling every mile or less it ook me hour to travel 15 miles thanks to the bike stalling. Mechanic thinks electrical problem. I think hes full of sh**. Called the salesmen who sold me it I said what are we gonna do about this problem this bike keeps breaking down. He said, "Again?!" I said yup. Then he has the ***** toask me if i wanted to trade it in (after this damn bike is fixed the RIGHT way) and I could get a new bike. I was thinking that might not be a bad idea. This bike I have now i totally dont trust it I wouldnt trust it riding it across the street. No way im taking this bike on a long road trip hhhhhhhhheeelll no.

 

I went through the same problem, but i bought mine from a from a co-worker. First i had the carb rejetted and tuned and the same problem the bike cut out and fouled plugs like crazy it wound up being the regulator. I rode it home tonight about 65 miles with no problems. Only 200.00 liter.

Maybe a faulty pick up, or coil, or coil wires wires, or ignition module,.Do you still get spark?. Does it start right back up then die? . does it get fuel , check for a cracked hose to vacuum fuel petcock(I removed mine ) Does it do it when it's cold/hot? Intake leak as it warms up( test with a propne torch , just crack it open around the intake ports, if the engine rpm increases you have a leak. ? lots of stufff to check. not enough info to diagnose . Mark..

 

i had a similar problem.
it was a bad ignition module.
here is how i diagnosed it. carry a spark plug socket and run the bike till it stalls. immedietly pull the plug and check spark.
when my bike got hot, it would reach a certain temp, and ignition module would shut down, and no sprk would be produced untill it cooled(usually a few minutes)

 

Well the mechanic said most likely the ignition module. Least its a free fix.. But how much would it cost for that? Anyone know
