Default 1991 Headlight Relocation

This project which started with new risers is continuing to expand. I would like to eliminate the stock headlight and visor and install a bottom mount light from my 97 Wide Glide. The mechanics of mounting the light is no problem, I will drill a hole in the lower tree and be all good. My question is with this rats nest of wires in the headlight bucket:

First, my plan is to relocate this mess to under the gas tank. I am also doing a tank lift and I should have plenty of room. Has anyone done this and maybe have some pictures laying around for wire routing? Trying to avoid mistakes that someone may have already lived through.

Second, not sure how to route the wires from the frame to the handle bars. On a Wide Glide front end you have a hole in the upper tree that everything gets routed through, narrow glides do not have this. So do you run in front of (exposed) or behind the tree? If behind how do you secure so they are not just hanging there?

Third, this is going to call for some additional tools for the wiring. As all of the current connectors are in the bucket, they are protected from the elements, this will not be the case for under the tank. I was thinking converting all to Deutsch connectors, is this a good idea?

Fourth, if you recommend the Deutsch connectors, I need help finding the correct crimping tool. I am good spending some money, I seem to be messing with these wires a lot on all of my bikes. But when you Google the tool, there are a lot of different manufacturers and styles ranging from $30 to $400. I understand you get what you pay for, but that is a big difference. For the occasional use does anyone have a middle of the road suggestion for a decent crimper?

Thanks in advance for any advice and support.

That is crazy! How do they get so much in there? I like your plan but I would probably just use the heat shrink butt connectors. I'm not familiar with the style you are talking about. I'm sure it is a better system.
