I was at my dealer yesterday and said to the salesman go on whats mine worth? a 2012 iron with only 2985 miles and great condition and he said depending on new model im interested in would effect part ex price but no lower than £5000, I thought that was great as paid £6300 2 years ago so they do seem to hold there value!
Now im like hhmmmm, perhaps I should change for a 2104 48 but yeas it will be a new bike but its gonna cost me £4200 to change and I own mine now so means more finance plus ive spent loads on my iron with mods etc but gotta admit im tempted with a 48!!!!

 

I'd say keep what you got. What is it about the 48 that you have to have? The bigger engine? The look? Almost all of that can be done to your 883 for about half the cost of the '14.

 

Will you still be around in 2104?...............................JK

Well my narrow apes turned up today and hopefully fitting weekend so iron defo staying! As mementioned if really want to I can convert my iron later on
