Default Sportster 48 Mag Wheels?

Has anyone gone tubeless with their sportster 48? I'm looking to convert my wheels to be dual 16 mag wheels, possibly using 2 rear mag wheels off an Iron or Dyna model.

Do I need to do any sort of custom bearings or tweaks to get the front wheel swap to work?

You would most likely need to get a wide-glide front-end if you want to use a rear wheel in the front. Other wise, use wheels from the recent "Custom" and "Low" models. They're wider mags but still fit on a mid-glide.

A rear mag will fit on the front.........as long as you dont have front brakes. If you go wide glide they will fit with brakes but then its just too damm heavy. I chased a slight wobble for several months before I figured out the wheel was just too heavy.

Ah, so you did the same thing? So what do you mean by as long as you don't have front brakes? Right now I'm running a brembo on my front spoke wheel setup, you saying that won't migrate over to this type of wheel setup?

A rear mag on a mid glide will fit, just barely. Theres no room left for the rotor.

We'll I guess that sums it up. So I assume the stock 48 16 wheel is tweaked to actually be a different size than the 16 on the rear? I think I did notice stock rear tire is 150, but front is 130?
