You should have also added "Don't Care" to the choices - because thou I picked NO I would have picked Don't care.

If I'm not mistaken I think the HD 500 and/or 750 is coming out with either a carbon fiber rear fender as a stock part or it could be a modification.. No idea thou if it will fit the sportster?

It would depend on the price but I'd be intrigued.

I'd be interested, along with various carbon fiber covers for the oil tank/battery cover...maybe even a headlight visor/bezel. There's a ton you can do. I love carbon fiber accents.

thanks for that positive comment, and your bike is pretty sick. to bad you do not have the origional A/C cover so i can send you one of my carbon fiber ones so you can write a review on it. I may just have to end up doing a contest so someone can win a free carbon fiber A/C cover.

Ha! Well most likely i will give one of those away as well, i just need to think of a way to do that on this site. Anyone have any ideas for a contest? only think i can think to do is have everyone post pictures of their bikes on here and choose 10 of them for people to vote on, the poll option on here only lets you put down 10 options.

I would rather think of it as more unique than anything, alot of time goes into making the tooling for the parts in order for them to come out right, and than after you have the tooling carved out of aluminum from a solid works file using a cnc machine you have to find a company that specializes in composite materials. Once you have found the manufacturer, each layer of carbon fiber twill is layed down individually, for example my A/C cover is 5 layers thick with two extra layers around the center part where the bolt holes go, it is than vacuum sealed so that you get that detail and shape, and finally it gets cut, trimmed, and 5 layers of clear coat added to give it that mirror finish.

carbon fiber parts are not easy to make, which is why they are not a dime a dozen, so if you do end up putting some carbon fiber parts on your motorcycle you will usually stand out.

I get what your saying, but at the same time if done correctly it can be a great unique addition to your ride.
