The dealer may be right. Milkey oil = oil + water. How long since it was changed? I change mine every 3000 or 6 months which ever comes first.

I would have to lean towards the syn oil, unless that's what you've been using all along. I would change the oil with whatever you normally use and see if it happens again.

I can say this, I use to fly airplanes down in Florida and for some reason, the engines(aircooled) trapped alot of moisture in the crankcases during the winter months, creating milky residue in the oil. This disappeared in the summer with warmer temperatures. I wouldn't be concerned, it is just the nature of living in a very humid climate.

The trans and primary are sealed . Chech yourtrans venttube and make sure it is routed propery, mine had a kink in it from the factory . I re-routed it so that it stays straight. To get actual water in there, not condensation, you would have to submerge it completely under water . Try that first and change the fluid gagain in another weeks time ..Mark...

Thanks for the input.I've got a blown output shaft seal and possibly a bearring problem. All covered by the warranty. In the 6 months that I've owned my Sportster,I've put 17,000 Kms on the odometer.

I tend to agree with the Stealer, Is that 50 miles total ie., 25 miles each way? If your not getting up to operating temperature it may not be dissipating the moisture/condensation.
