Default Forcewinder A/C and Rain

I've been curious just how well the Forcewinder does in heavy rain. It looks to me like you would have a water injestion problem.
Looking for comments from people that have them.

Default RE: Forcewinder A/C and Rain

It comes with a special 'sock' that protects it in rain. One night last year I got caught in a DOWNPOUR without it. I was concerned and stopped at a gas station. I bought a pair of brown cotton gloves and put one of the gloves overtop of the filter. 30 miles of highway riding, half of it in a monsoon, and it'd caugh intermittantly, but I was 90% OK. With the sock, I probably would've had no problems at all. I keep the sock stored on the bike now, just in case.
Go ahead and get it. I love mine and would buy another in a heartbeat.
