Rear brake
#12
It has been a bad nightmare!! I'm ready to wake up!
Today I hung the caliper high and let it sit, bled twice that way and more bubbles came out a little at a time. What has me confused is I left pads in and placed a piece of steel roughly the width of the rotor in between the pads...Had amazing brake pressure just like it should be. A couple trials of bleeding, no air, no change, still amazing pressure, so I thought it was done. Installed the caliper and to my surprise I had no brake again. Pumped and pumped to move piston, which it did, but no brake at all. Totally lost here. Could air still be the problem? Left it hanging gonna go back to it tomorrow. Wish me luck. Thanks guys
I really like the idea of a speed bleeder. O Reillys has a two pack of russels for 14 and I'm thinking about buying it. Thanks for that.
Want to add that I feel the movement of the caliper is taking away from possible pressure on the pads. Seems I have quite a bit of movement and it just rocks outside to inside rather than a slide. Does this sound logical or normal?
