Factory bikes were made run lean before catalytic converters. To conform with emission standards. I see no reason why factory maps could be lean if you have catalytic converters.
XiED is a big bluff anyway, only those who do not know what they are talking about (and those who sell them) think they are worth the money.

Woah...didnt mean to open a can of worms here. I appreciate everybody's input and will try both. I never gave the pipes a try without the Xied. I will take it off and see what happens, on the other hand i will mess with the dial and put a different setting and see if that helps. DK to answer your questions its happening on 4th and 5th gear and the tank is at half.

I agree with Allen Riggs, you should show us some black and white to back up what your saying or it's just talk. I think anyone reading this would agree with DK and assume your just talking nonsense. He took the time to post FACTUAL EVIDENCE that Xied's do in fact work as advertised. You on the other hand just babbled about how a retail business is trying to make money. Funny thing about retail businesses, thats exactly what they're trying to do, make money. You also said that anyone who understands an internal combustion engine would agree with you; highly unlikely. I've been an ASE certified mechanic for 8 years and I can tell you that If an air/ fuel chart shows you that an engine runs closer to stoichiometric using xied's, then obviously they're doing their job. I think that the OP in this case just might have them set or installed incorrectly.
