This is my muffler and old pegs, now I avoid scraping pegs just with driving technique; same speed, same curves but no scraps.
This is the best, cheapest solution. Many dont realize (myself included) how far they lean away from the curve. That requires the bike to lean further for a given speed/corner. Get a cheek off the seat and consciously shift your body into the curve, youll be surprised at how much faster you can take the corner. Now Im not talking sport bike knee drag leaning, a little bit can go a long way.

The sound is startling, not the feel of scraping

In the olden days, I cut half of the pegs off, so they wouldn't scrape. Didn't need all of that sticking out anyways. But, nothing else was dragging either, except a knee.

I have forwards and they still scrape frantically. Not funny, my 1200c can lean over much more. Thinking about removing them altogether or take half of them off.

I was scraping all the time when I had the stock pegs. I just unscrewed them and took them off.

I had a 48 and the first couple times it happened it was a little freaky, but just used it as a gauge to kinda "back off" when I heard it scraping.
