Default Full progressive suspension ride report

Over the winter I installed progressive front fork springs and 430 rear shocks.Got about 150 miles in with a few nice days now this year. Got to sat that I am very pleased with the ride. With the 12" shocks I am on 1st pre load mark and it is perfect for me. Roads are fairly nasty yet and I never got that spine jarring jolt like I did previously with stock suspension. Am very pleased so far with the fitment and ride quality progressive suspension delivers.

Good report, I did similar about 6 years ago. I went with Progressive Fork Springs and 7w BelRay. I chose 13.5" Progressive 440 standards. and got exactly what I was looking for. A plush yet well controlled ride.

Cool Yep

I also recently installed the progressive fork springs an 412 rear shocks. A noticeable improvement over the stock sorry *** suspension my 06 XL883R had. Well worth the money spent. Killer

That is good news. I did a similar winter mod, 12.5" 412's and front fork springs. Took a couple 10 mile test rides, but nothing significant yet as the weather here is still a little shitty.

Did you install the fork springs yourself or do you know the particulars on the procedures? Spacer lengths? Oil weight? Did you gain any road clearance?

NO PROBLEM- It was easier to put the Progressive spring an supplied spacer in than it was to install the stock set up. I'd tried to put spacers on top of the stock springs , that was fun..... Killer

I did work myself. Used 10w. Some run 7w. 10w feels nice.and.cushy so far. Spacers length vary per sporty model. Mine used full length. 6" oil depth. Need 1 1/8 socket iirc to remove cap. Simple install. The oil level is the most important thing.

Thanks slyedog. I suppose Progressive can give a good recommendation as to the length the spacers should be on a given bike and rider weight combination. I have herd it can be kind of complicated and trial an error. Would be nice to get it right the first time.

I used the spacers at their full 3" length and that was perfect. It raised the bike about .5" over the stock setup. I've never bottomed the front since.
