Default Moving Mid Controls Forward?

I did a search but I didn't find anything. Please post a link if I missed a thread that has already covered this. I want to know what parts I need to move my mid controls forward. I'm assuming the levers and linkages are different but the mounting brackets are universal. Also, I posted a thread in the for sale section if anyone wants to trade forwards for mids.

You'll find a taker. Just be patient. Do not buy the parts separately. I bought my mids for $65 off of ebay. I would actually just sell your forwards as you'll get more money than what you would buy the mids for.

From what I see in your sig pic, you already have forwards.

Lol, I figured. Thanks for the advice though. I'm not sure if too many people want to go from forwards to mids so I think I'll be buying forwards. Now I just need to find the best route to go. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

I bought a set of forward controls off ebay last year. I rode with them for a month and decided I liked mid controls better. It's pretty easy to install. But you may need to loosen the exhaust on the one side to get at the bolts.

I found my forwards in the classifieds here. Quite a bit cheaper than HD. And they are factory forwards, I think the quality is higher than aftermarket sets.

+1 - I would stay away from anything that's not the real HD control set. Fleabay is full of imported (junk quality) control sets that have been reported here by users as sub-standard quality that fail.

I just installed the Drag Specialties forward controls from Dennis Kirk onto my 07 Nightster. MUCH more comfortable now and one of the best mods I've made to it yet. The quality was very good and installation wasn't that difficult. The supplied instructions pretty much sucked but I was able to figure it out pretty easily. Nobody supplies installation instructions like HD!

Took about two hours to do properly. Fit was perfect and the bike is much more comfortable.
