Default Whirring noise ?

I was wondering if anyone has experienced a whirring noise near the rear wheel maybe like the belt drive or something along those lines. I have an 07 1200c with a little over 700 miles so far and I don't really know if the noise has been there the whole time or not. It is finally getting warm enuff to raise my full face shield and have just noticed the sound. It only occurs while rolling and I do not know what noise to expect from a belt drive bike. All I have ever owned was chain drives before.
It is definitely loud enuff to hear clearly. Not to long before 1000 mile service and I will have the dealer check it but was hoping for some insight beforehand so the dealer won't just shoot some jive about normal noise if it is really not normal

Thanks in advance
Jim

I don't get any noticable whiring from mine but my first guess would be your belt may need adjusting. Either tension or alignment.

Not really knowing... but from your discription... I'd say it's a belt... Mine did for a while...

You have to take the card off of the clothes pin so that it doesn't hit the spokes all the time...

Upper engine noise is normal from a air cooled V-twin. From the factory, they adjust the primary chain too tight. They re-adjust it at the 1000k Maintance.
