Depends on what you want it for.... it ain't a long trip bike! But it's definitely a too-cool-for-school bad-to-the-bone awesome fun commute and cruise the strip and short day tripper. I LOVE it, but would want like a BMW 1200GS for my ultimate yumyum longer trip-taking bike. I'm 5'7" with 31" inseam, so hip flexors get a littel tight on the long rides.

I have zero regrets because I know what it's great for and what where it is limited.

I am going to upgrade the shocks because the bumps get to me, I added a solo detatchable rack and heated grips... waiting for a vivid black air cooler cover to come in... got a Biker's Friend bag to haul around some stuff to be practical when commuting... otherwise it's cool mo dee, ready to roll, not a chrome bank account drainer... just gogogo have cool fun machine.

If that's what you're looking for.... DO IT! It's a balst, I tell you. Home run.

The seat, hard as a rock! There are seats out there that have good style that are comfortable. Quick fix. Other than that I love it.

Nice bikes you have. I have an 05 Superglide Custom and I think the nightster is the bomb.

It's a great bike. Quick, rides well and looks even better.

I'm not fond of the mid controls, but that's an easy fix. Other than that it's perfect for what it is. Realize that it's not designed to be ridden for lonnng stretches of time. But you'll enjoy it.

Im not a big guy and I bought my nightster last weekend. I love the way it rides and looks even better. Im a no-chrome sort of rider. All black is how I like it. Just waiting for black pipes for it. But in a nutshell, its sweet.

Its the greatest bike ever built! Its so badass it needs to be put in detension. The seatfits mewell (i'm 5'7" 160lbs)..but I could see how some people would complain about lack of cush. I always feel like I am going to or coming from a rumble when I am riding it(ha ha!).
Sitting on the bike in the showroom and actually being out riding it are two completely different feels....its alot more comfortable riding then just sitting still..

I've had mine a week but unfortunately the weather is still a little cold up here to ride, only 5 miles on it. I have no regrets so far and I'm sureI wont after I ride it.

Here's the part where I sound like a jerk. Let me apologize in advance. I don't like it at all. I think its name should be, "the gayster." I think that HD will limit the XR1200 to a Europe only model because of the nightster. IMO, HD gave us the wrong prototype as a production model. I hope that all of the nightster owners are happy with it and I hope it serves you well. I'll keep my 2000 XL and be happy with it until we get the XR1200. If we ever get it. Just my .02
