Well, it was a bizz to get that sucker out,but it finally did after a few hours. I ended up grinding the head off, but it didn't just slide out so easily. Had to fight with it for a bit and then notched the bolt and used the vise grip to get the nut off. I appreciate all the help guys. Now I just gotta get a new bolt and nut and I should be good. I hope!!!

All was not good. Went to 8 different hardware and auto parts places and none had a 1/2" fine nylon lock nut!! There were plenty of coarse thread, but not fine!! I ended up getting a 1/2" hex nut fine thread for now until I can get a set of the lock nuts online.

Sorry I did not see this post sooner but for future reference this is a great set to have in the tool box. After cutting head off you pound one of these on, the teeth cut into threads and then you get a ratchet on it. Saved my *** a bunch of times. Thought it may help someone else.

Interesting. I've not tried these before. Are they reusable?

Lol!! Yeah that sounds like it would've been way easier! Definitely picking that up!!! I'm sure it won't be the last time I'll need it. Especially with a bike full of torx.

Absolutely, over and over. The other set I have is for damaged/stripped hex bolts/heads. (link below). Again saved my *** more than once. Can buy both sets for $60. More than worth the money.
