Oh are you talking about a K&N replacement for the SE a/c or the stock one? If you are talking SE then no if you are talking stock a/c then yea i believe K&N makes a replacement.

No not at this time.
I have the newer SE II a/c and it seems to work just fine for me.
Have you held it up to the light to check for pinholes?
Yep and none were found. I did replace it at 10,000 miles as it was pretty dirty andI didn't want to bother with trying to clean it. The replacement was something like $29 which is actually pretty decent for a Harley part.

Here is another option. Priced similarly to the hurricaneflow, has a stack in the backing plate like the hurricaneflow, and comes with all the mounting hardware for the price unlike the hurricaneflow.

You can get it for a better price than what is listed on there. I have seen them prices in the $170 range.

The good thing (or bad thing depends on how you look at it) is the hurricane flow and SE a/c let you keep the ham can look.

By the way the new SE a/c filters have been revised for a while and there has not been much talk about problems with them since they changed. The first version had a blue rubber on the filter and those were considered the bad ones that might get pinholes in them. That's what was on mine for 10,000 miles and i saw no evidence of any holes. The new revision has black rubber and that's whatI have on it now.
I do like the look of the forcewinder. Does anyone know where you get those chrome flames around the forcewinder filter that I see some people with?
Edit: Nevermind i found some here. http://www.hellrisercustoms.com/hotdeals.php

Ya I had the Blue rubber one.It basically looked like swiss cheese. All the pinholes were horrible. The K&N has been nothing but great to me.

What's the difference, then, between the performance of an SE high flow air cleaner kit vs. a K&N filter on a stock backing plate?

The rest of the air cleaner is designed to flow more air as well and not just the filter itself. Usually, if people want to run their stock air box with a K&N, they will drill holes in the stock air box to increase flow.

Here is an example:

Here is a link to several solutions:

Another thing an aftermarket air cleaner does is reroute blowby to the atmosphere instead of the the carb to be reburned. It is EPA mandated to reroute blowby back into the carb, but it is better for the engine to have it go to the atmosphere. Some aftermarket air cleaners like the SE and big sucker don't reroute the blowby to the atmosphere so they don't have that additional feature (although I have a modified Big sucker that does that I may or may not sell soon).

Wow...I'm doing the SEII's next week and I have a an 07 Sporty (Fuel Injected) and I've also been looking at air options...compatible with the latest HD downloads given the FI..

So what would be the a/c recommendation for a non-carb Fuel Injected 07 with SEII's?

There is a BIG distinction between the OLD SE and NEW SE. Maurice was talking about the old SE that came with a K&N filter. The old SE filter was all that you needed for the majority of applications and was a fantastic air filter. The new SE is a complete POS that will neither last as long or flow as well. There were about three revision of the air filter. The first ones were falling apart and getting holes in them, while the later ones were dripping gasoline. Either way, they never went back to using a K&N filter as far as I know. Buy one at your own risk.
True statement if it was made after summer of 04 they were much cheaper quality
