I don't have experience with the Bare Bones but the LePera seats are nice and it'll look good on your 48. They're pretty firm to begin with, so if you like firm seats you can't go wrong with LePera. I have the aviator on my 1200C. It's more padded but I like it.
As far as 10-13 vs 10-14, no difference. Seat fitment on a 2013 and 2014 48 are the same.

Anyone rolling around with the Le Pera bare bones solo seat? I'm contemplating buying one but I can't seem to find pics/specs/reviews on it. Also, I was wondering how the seat held up comfort wise. Thanks!
Also, I was wondering if there was a difference from '10-'14 in the seating area? Seems most companies only have '10-'13 listed for seat fitment. Any help is appreciated!

I uploaded a few pics, this is the only angles I have without actually going out and taking multiple angles. These were actually upgrade progress pics from doing a wire tuck, tank lift, and key & coil relocation.

Just put one on today. Initial impressions: very well made. Due to the up-turned rear of the seat, it feels shorter front to back. Definitely no room to move around. Padding makes the front of the seat a bit wider. Seems slightly softer than stock. Have a 1000 mile ride. Planned for next week. Will follow up.

I was originally thinking about getting the Le Pera, but I wanted something even smaller and closer to the looks of the 48 seat. Biltwell came out with a new line, so I figured I would try them out. I bought the Sporty 8 seat and I like it a lot so far. Just thought I would throw another option out there.
Here is the seat and here is a pic of it on my bike.

Are you talking about the stock 48 seat? Its definitely way more cushion and sits up a little higher due to the more padding. I thought it gave the bike more of an old school look. It doesn't really have a back to it, but I have never had any problems with sliding off.
