I watch the weather, and can call it better than the freakin weather man anymoreIf it is a complete wash out we are not riding, just loose the fun of it but, periods of rain is no problem....spend most of a day in Daytona in off and on rain, totally soaked...but was riding

RE: Do you watch the weather?
Had my bike a little over a month now and have only missed 1 day so far due to 100% rain. The rest has been anywhere from 26 degrees to 80% rain (and it falling) . This is 6th bike but frist HD and it has been a few years since last bike . Almost ready for the 1000 mile service now. Not many days are going to stop me even the Tornado that we almost had destroy us 2 weeks ago in Enterprise

As long as I can get a good radar pic of the past few hours to what is coming and knowing how the weather generally acts here I usually pretty good about calling for it to be a wash or, notand it is usually different than what the pros are saying good or bad

I won't ride if there is a chance of rain, unless I get caught in it,

Hey Tommy... there are two environments where we learn to ride really well... in the dirt and in the rain.
Get yourself some good waterproof gear and come out and play man. You'll be surprised at just how much
traction you have and you will get way , way smooth in the wet stuff.

RE: Do you watch the weather?
I'm really not a wet weather rider myself. Down here in FL, when it rains...it really RAINS! Especially in the summer months. Don't even like driving in the stuff, never mind riding. Hurricane like conditions sprawl up here all the time and sometimes it's totally out of the clear blue sky. Living in the tropical climate can get interesting. Personally, I prefer living up North and will go back someday. As far as the riding season is concerned, Nov-May in FLis like the best riding and golf weather you can find anywhere....
