I've sold a few things on eBay to fund some parts to keep me sane during winter. I'm leaning on getting the 4" speedo/tach but was wondering how quickly the MPH updates on it. Does it update every second like the 90s Cadillacs do, or is it nearly instantaneous like Kaneda's bike in Akira? I know it's a stupid question but not having a quick update would drive me nuts.

 

I've found that mine updates very fast; not that I really stare at it while accelerating.

 

I installed one and truly love it! It doesn't seem to cycle slow for me.

 

I installed one on my wife's bike and really like it. Like the custom colors.

 

Sounds like a winner to me. Hopefully down the road I'll get the guage mount for a 48 and put it in there.

 

Speed reading is very quick and is the gear indicator, surprised how quick that reads

 

So far I love mine! Anyone had theirs totally shut off for a few secs then come back on? I've talked to two other people that this has happened to besides myself. Just wondering if it's been an issue for anyone else?

 

How hard was it to install? And does the low fuel indicator light still work if you do not purchase the gas sending unit?

 

It's plug & play. Just follow the instructions. I believe you have to hook it up to the ecu to download the mileage. My mechanic said he had to swap my original sending unit with the one that is a suggested install with the new speedometer. Not sure why but I already bought it just in case.

 

As long as it isn't an 07 model year it is all plug and play. For some reason you have to change or add a fuel sensor resistor with or without the sending unit kit. I have been searching for 2 days trying to figure out why. Called numerous dealers etc. No luck so far.
