Default Brawler seat for Nightster?

Goal: take edge off big bumps my sweet Nightster sends right up my spine (had back surgery last year) without ruining superfine aesthetics of my bike.
[sm=biker.gif]
Solution: Brawler seat????? Have to have a one-up (my nightie and I play alone).

Try some 412 Progressive shocks would be my first suggestion.... next suggestion a Goldwing?

Aw, man! Low blow with the Goldwing...

So that's an aftermarket deal... is it kosher to buy it somewhere and take it to dealer for install or what? And this wouldn't change the seat height, right -- just the suspension rate?

I am looking the the two up rally runner, incase you want to throw some travel bags on it for a trip, strap it across the back pilon and on your way.

Nice bike by the way, had back surgery Feb 06, L4 L5 ground out and nerves cleared up. Know the pain man, if it starts bothering me again I will mount a couch on the RKC.

Back surgery here too (20+ years ago), I'm still okay but I watch VERY closely... Anyway, I am thinking one option for me might be something like this:

http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=1212

I also have pchopped a XL50 saddle onto an image of a stock N, it looks prettty good to me, but not as good as stock. It may be a reasonable compromise for me in comfort vs looks to go that direction. Besides it will give me something to rest me backpack on.

The stock seat to me is only good for 50 miles or less, it looks good and is cozy at first, but has some unacceptable qualites for me after 100 miles or so... I am watching to see what other ideas might pop up out there.

Thanks, guys -- very helpful. I've also been reading the suspension upgrade thread as well. Think I'll explore some Progressive 412 in black so I stay on the dark side on the Nighty. So if I haul these into the dealer, will they roll their eyes at the punk who walked in with aftermarket stuff she wants installed?
