Default Speedo for 2014 Sporty - 70900100B

I installed my Speedo last night on my 2014 Seventy-Two and it was a easy install. I was able to configure the colors, etc. and everything seems to work.

In the setup, Fuel Level is configured to be "ON". However, it is not displaying on the left side, nor is the Fuel Range showing.

Anyone that has added this speedo to a 2014 Sportster have any insight on why ?

FYI: My tank is nearly full, so I cannot fill it up until I put some miles on it - if that makes a difference.

Did you buy the Speedo/Analog Tach Gauge that mounts in the stock location? If so you need the fuel level sensor kit for Harley in order for the Gas Gauge part of it to work. On your bike its pretty much pointless tho because you only fill up on less than 2 gallons...Use your trip meter.

Yes, I already use my Trip A for that. I was just hoping someone might has some insight into this ... as I was told my HD part sales that I did not need the sensor.

Oh I got ya, Yea from what I understand man you need that. It may be different on your 2014 though because they did change some things. I'm pretty sure you need it though. If you can call another local dealer and get different input or speak to a different tech at your current one.

I have that speedo on my iron and yes you defo need the fuel sensor kit otherwise there is nothing in standard setup to monitor how much fuel is in the tank to give the speedo the range and level, your low fuel light will still work as that is part of standard setup. I never installed the fuel level kit as not worth the extra money, I go buy the low fuel light and trip miles. Great speedo though

I installed it on my 2010 and needed the sensor. It cost around $150 and is a straight forward easy install
