I agree with Baka, I always carry a 12 volt air pump and a tire plug kit which is great if you don't have laced wheels.

Cruztools tool kit on one bike, another similar set(-$) from another company on the other bike, plus Stop and Go Tire Plugger.

Both seem good quality and designed for a Harley.

I'd like to re-state what a co-member said above....
All tools necessary to access/ replace/ repair controls.
That is sound advice.
I'll add axle removal tools.
+1 for flashlight.

For a screwdriver I use a 1/4" socket and ratchet with screwdriver bits.

Default Very litte....

I carry my wallet with obvious credit cards and a little spare cash (not much). I always carry my phone and have built-in helmet speakers. Beyond that, nothing else. If I have a major break-down, hell with it. AAA can take care of it at that point or State Farm Roadside Assistance, whichever gets there first. lol I'm farily certain State Farm uses AAA.

I must also add that preventative maintenance goes a loooong way. It seems to me that people who carry tools are always the people wrenching on the side of the road. Just like everyone I know who has a gremlin bell are the ones who have accidents/wrecks. So to me tools and gremlin bells are a bad omen.

They aren't and will never be strapped to my bike.

That's kind of like saying "it was in the last place I looked" when someone asks you where you found something you were looking for. lol

When I did dual sport rides we all carried tubes, tire bars, and tools to remove the wheels. I also brought a few meters of rope to tow or be towed by another bike. The rope goes one turn around the centre of the handle bar, down around the right foot peg, back to the dead bike, up around the left foot peg, and one turn around the centre of the handle bar. Both bikers use their left hand to hold the rope on the bar, if something goes wrong they grab the grips and the rope lets go.

Any body carry circlip pliers?

I keep a cell phone, credit cards and my handy insurance that covers towing, mechanical break downs... Simple as that!
