Looking for a 1/4 fairing
New member here… can't tell you how much time I've spent on this forum, figured it was time to join. I ride a lot of highway miles, and have a nightster. Looking to get a quarter fairing, but not sure between the HD, Arlen Ness, or Memphis Shades. No this is not an SOA move, its a "I would like some protection from the wind on long rides" move. I've seen several Arlen Ness and the HD's but not much of the Memphis. I have drag bars and just want to have an idea of what the memphis would look like on a nightster with drag bars. Anyone have any pics? Thanks guys!

I'm not sure what you want protected from the wind, but be advise if you're trying to shield your face or eyes, you'll need the windshield to be about nose high. I suspect some of these low 1/4 fairings direct the wind flow to blast your chest, neck and/or face.

I've been running the H-D for a few years and it definitely does it's job as far as cutting through the wind and keeping it off your chest. I had a Ness for 1 season and found that it was too flemsy in cross-winds. I don't have any experience with the Memphis Shades Gauntlet but a few guys over in the Dyna forum run them and they seem to be quality pieces.

Thanks guys…. I couldn't quite get the money together to get the HD one, so i went with the ness… If if really is too flimsy, then I will just suck it up and grab the HD one in a couple of months or so. So if anyone is looking for a cheaper Ness for a sportster, check back with me in a couple of months!
