Default 48 Tyres

I noticed the rear tyre on my 48 is starting to get close to the edge and needs changing, The bike has done 5500 miles so I cant complain..Im thinking of going for something different. I do a lot of backroad and country lane riding so im thinking of softer compound/performance tyres, but I would still like to get 4000 miles before having to change the rear again...What would you Guys suggest ??..........

Replaced the original rear Michelin Scorcher of my 2012 Custom after 12.000 mi. Moderate rider, though, but seemed to last quite long. Replaced w/ Michelin Commander II, will see its endurance the coming season, although riding felt quite the same the last trips before winter.

Maybe watch the current poll for more opinions.

If you are looking for a great back roads tires, try Shinko 777. Wet, dry, dont matter. Them tires flat out grip amd are much more comfy of a ride than stock tires. As good or better than Pirelli or Avon with better life. Them tires will not slip out from under you ever. They can handle more than the bike could ever dish out. Price is right too, more than a few here run them and they are perfect for me in NC where every road has a twist to it and the mountains are just a blast. They are more like sport bike tires in a bias ply. Great tires for spirited riding and comfy over the bumps.

Make sure you run them at the right psi, ignore the book. They run a higher psi and last me 8-10K.
